This long-acting form of bupivacaine was just approved by FDA for wound infiltration. Pacira Pharmaceuticals is targeting general/abdominal surgery market for a wound infiltration. Supposedly the duration or analgesia is substantially longer than bupivacaine. The idea is that it will replace wound catheters. Anybody has an experience using it? Any thoughts?
